Biography

The Sci-Fi heroine who played Trinity in "The Matrix" has captured the hearts of fans and critics alike. Carrie-Anne Moss has made a name for herself with her portrayal in "The Matrix" and is sure to be a smash when Keano Reeves and she get back together to do the remaining installments of "The Matrix" trilogy. Until then, fans will have to pay close attention as she busily works her way through a series of upcoming films.

Carrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 in Vancouver, British Colombia and claims to be the only member of her family to live outside of Canada. Moss lived with her mother Barbara in Vancouver who was a mother of two by the age of 19. With her mothers encouragement, Moss dreamed her way into stardom. At the age of 11, Moss got her first taste of adoring fans when she joined the Vancouver children's musical theater and later went on to tour Europe with the Magee Secondary School choir. In 1985 she left Vancouver for Toronto and became a lucrative modeling career. This career took her to Japan and Spain. While in Spain she landed a role in "Dark Justice" which relocated from Barcalona to Los Angeles during the second season with Moss right along with it.

Since "Dark Justice", Moss has added quite a few TV appearances and films to her credits. It wasn't until "The Matrix" that success landed on her shoulders and has made her a star. Landing the role of Trinity wasn't as easy as one might imagine though. Moss auditioned several times before landing the role and then delved into a training regime that made it possible for her to do all her own stunts. This work ethic has stood her in good stead as she now has a number of offers lining up to keep her busy into the near future. Her latest endeavors have been on "The Crew" and "Red Planet". She has also taken a number of smaller parts to keep herself active in such films as " Chocolat" and "Momento".
