Biography

Goldie Studlendgehawn began her career on the late-60's television variety show "Laugh-In". She portrayed a stereo-typical blonde bubble-head who was tumultuously entertaining. Who else but Goldie could pull that off?

She is naturally zany and beautiful. Her captivating charisma and enthusiastic charm didn't go unnoticed. In 1969, she won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in "Cactus Flower". Who but Goldie Hawn would be so unpretentious as to sleep through the entire ceremony? She later admitted on the "Rosie O'Donnell Show" that she "totally forgot." Her publicist had to call to tell her the big news the following day!

Her wonderful performances in "Butterflies Are Free" and "The Sugarland Express" firmly established her position in Hollywood. She is executive producer and star of the 1980 blockbuster "Private Benjamin", which won her another Oscar nomination. She has starred opposite Hollywood hunks such as Mel Gibson and Burt Reynolds and is able to all but steal the show. She brings wacky, slapstick comedy to the silver screen, and still appears stunningly sexy.

In 1996 she teamed up with female co-stars Bette Midler and Diane Keaton to film the runaway hit "The First Wives Club". That same year she starred in Woody Allen's allstar cast musical "Everyone Says I Love You." She was also voted one of People Magazine's "25 Most Intriguing People." Her most recent flick "The Out-of-Towners" (1999), with Steve Martin did not fare as well at the box-office though.

She has married and divorced 3 times. She has 2 children with her third husband Bill Hudson. She has one child with most recent live-in love (since 1983) Kurt Russell. Goldie describes herself as "…a woman who was raised to believe that you are not complete unless you have a man…But I'm not going to deny the fact that I love to be with men."

At 58, Goldie Hawn still holds the zest of a twenty-year-old. Her laughter is contagious and her free spirit draws you to her. She has starred, produced, and even directed on the silver screen for thirty years.

She is as bubbly and delightful now as she was then.
