For the majority of entering the acting profession, it takes years of hard work and dedication. For Yasmine Bleeth, it was easier. She first appeared on television in a Johnson & Johnson ad when she was six months old. By the age of six, she was doing Max Factor ads. She starred in her first movie, Hey Babe, at the tender age of twelve.

Attending the bilingual United Nations International School, she was often threatened by the other girls at school because either she flipped her hair too much (her excuse) or she kept stealing their boyfriends (their excuse). It probably didn't help that she was the only sixteen year old at the school who had her own soap opera (Ryan's Hope).

Staying with ABC, she then landed the role of Lee Ann Demerest on the very long-running soap opera One Life to Live, on which she acted from 1991 to 1993. The year after she left the show, she joined the cast of Baywatch as Caroline Holden, easily her most famous character. The only actress on the show with all of her original parts (and one of the few that have not posed nude), she is also considered by some to be the only one with more than the minimum acting skills. It was while she was doing this show that she was listed among People Magazine's 50 most beautiful people. She also used the opportunity to market her own line of swimwear (Yazwear) as well as to appear in more movies.

She has also placed herself on the forefront of an emerging technology by appearing in the CD_ROM game Maximum Surge. In it, she plays the computer engineer Jo, who appears at different points during the game to offer advice to the player. This presented many new challenges to Yasmine, since, among other things, many of the scenes had to be done several times, with just small differences each time.

Since leaving Baywatch in 1997, she has pursued more serious roles, such as the ex-Mormon prostitute in Heaven or Vegas. She has also starred in both the murder mystery Crowned and Dangerous, and The Lake, a suspenseful thriller made for NBC television. On a lighter note, she played Jenna in BASEketball, a sports comedy from the director of Naked Gun and starring the makers of Southpark. Through her beauty and talent, Yasmine is making major contributions to the film industry on a global scale.
