Will Smith and Grand Funk Railroad enter our poll and thunder into top positions. The additions are direct e-mail requests from fans.

Will Smith is fast becoming a superstar. He is crossing over from rap, to comedy televison, to movies. Has he written a book yet?

Grand Funk Railroad has a strong fan club base which has certainly made itself a driving force in our poll. Fans of the other peformers might try e-mailing the fan clubs of their favourite performers they'd like to see rise in the polls.

Celine Dion proves that even with the expanded choices offered to voters, she can afford to take the hit. Watch for Celine's new French album to hit the streets in August!

Mariah Carey lost a few votes in the last poll but she still holds a 1000 vote lead over the next contender. Carey's latest album, 'Butterfly,' is now oficially triple platinum. Her video for 'Honey' has been nominated for a 1998 MTV Music Video Award.

The Backstreet Boys gained a few votes in the last poll. Their fans make it tough to dislodge this talented bunch of guys from the top five.

Will Smith belongs in this poll. Will is responsible for several multi-platinum albums. We want to congratulate Will for his success in our polls. Looks like we have to congratulate will for his first solo album. On July 28, 1998,"Big Willie Style" officially went triple platinum.

Grand Funk Railroad gets a fan promotion to slam our polls with locomotion. For those that don't know any thing about this band, click here. For those that do, the band is together and touring! Capital records has assigned two technicians to work on the digital remastering for an anthology box set. A dozen previously unreleased songs have been discovered!
