Garth Brooks - Garth Brooks jump-started country music at the beginning of the decade, raising its worldwide visibility and prestige to an unprecedented level, and going on to become the biggest selling solo artist in U.S. music history, with over 62 million in sales. Tim McGraw - His effects have been felt not only on the top-selling charts, but on the entire genre. And that doesn’t even take into account the significant amount of product he sells to those folks who don’t consider themselves country music fans. But then, his own early influences, though heavily weighted in country, ranged far afield of the music of the good ol’ boys. Reba McEntire - Reba Nell McEntire was born on March 28, 1955 to parents Clark and Jacqueline McEntire. Reba was born in McAlester Oklahoma, and raised in Chockie, a town of 18 people. |
